Bulls Bash Banbury 3 - 0

After a long spell with no home games, we finally got back to business at Edgar Street. Banbury were the visitors, probably still seething after we beat them 1-0 at their place, and then dodged stones on the way out as their fans went a bit silly post match.

After the ritual burger, coffee and chocolate bar we then saw a good strong team selection from Beads today, and at kick off we got off to a lively start. Not sure if you've heard, but the Bird was indeed the word as he belted one from distance to put us 1 up. I like Jamie Bird, always puts a good shift in and he can hit them for sure. The game got a bit scrappy until the end of the first half as a few tackles left a few players rolling around, and the momentum was gone for a while. The ref was ok, but fussy. An angry Beads was chasing him around on the way back to the tunnel, poor sod!

Second half we picked up the pace a bit, and then had a nice start with Mills getting flattened in the box, and then of course converting the pen. Top corner, oof! You can watch that strike right here.
Last 15 minutes of the game we looked fantastic I thought, played some class football and Refell made it 3 with a lovely finish to a great move. Proper deserved his Man of the Match as he was into everything today. When he gets going he takes some stopping.

Banbury put up a bit of a fight today but we looked different class at times. We don't look like getting beat at any time these days. Still in 3rd with some games in hand, its our to lose really. The big one on Tuesday, where we have the honour of being fleeced by greedy Kings Lynn. Banging gate prices up by a quid is one thing, but by 3? Shame on you KL. Greedy bastards, I hope we smash them out of spite!
