Top of the League (among other things)

And not before time. Haven't updated this as often as planned as I suddenly realised I hate writing. Since the last blog however plenty has gone on....
Firstly, 2 haphazard home games against Bishops Stortford and Biggleswade, but regardless of form we still went on to win. Teams come to Edgar Street these days with all intention of defending for 90 mins so it's no surprise really. And that my friends, is title winning form so whether it be 1 or 10 nil, its still 3 points in the bag.
Then Millsy gets a knock, and the fans start to worry, understandably. Mind you, we have lost him for a week or two in the past and we still win and score goals. Thankfully it turns out to be nothing too major, a slight cartilage tear and he'll be back out on the pitch soon. I actually have a similiar injury and have had for a couple of years, and still manage to run and play indoor football (badly). It does need surgery eventually, but I'm shit scared of hospitals so continue to avoid the inevitable. I reckon he'll get it done in the summer ready for the next season.
Lovely day at Dunstable yesterday, and our 4 - 0 win coupled with arrogant Kings Lynn's draw puts us nicely at the top of the league for the first time. Maybe now their chairman will shut up.
Another positive has been good old Ian Long (Alvechurch manager) still having a go, this time about the Beadlegate phone business (sore point). Two years on, and he's still bitter! Ian man! Calm down! We've moved on these days!
